Travel Tips:
If travel alone, bleh beli local sim card kat airport or kat city. But if travel ngan kengkawan, better sewa Pocket Wifi siap-siap dari Malaysia sebab lagi jimat dan bleh share-share bayar sewa. Sewa pocket wifi lagi murah dan jimat if travel secara berjemaah.

JEPUN - BASIC THINGS YANG KORANG KENA TAHU SEBELUM KE SANA!

Japan!

For me, kalau gi ngan kengkawan or ngan sedara mara secara berjemaah, elakkan dari dok kat hotel - mahallll dan tak berbaloi. Lagi jimat dan osem kalau korang stay kat apartment! Nak carik apartment? Korang try je AirBNB

2. Bila nak Fly?
Sila check dulu bulan yang korang nak travel tu musim apa?? Kat sana ada 4 musim. Jangan plak tersilap bawak seluar pendek masa musim sejuk! Keras kojol plak korang nanti. So kalau korang nak main salji, check bulan berapa yang ada snowfall bagai. Kalau nak plan layan bunga Sakura plak, pun kena check exact month bunga tu blossom. Kalau rasa nak bedal je sebab tiket flight murah time certain month, maka bedallahhh cuma kena check la gak musim tu musim apa. Kat sana xder musim durian! Hehehehe... Opsss..nak check musim apa kat sana, sila check kat sini haaaaa

Tateyama Kurobe

3. Matawang
Haaa yang ni jangan dilupa! Matawang Japan guna Yen. So plan bebetul berapa lama nak stay sana. Korang bleh tukar siap-siap RM ke Yen semasa kat Malaysia. Elakkan tukar kat airport...mahal! Tukar lebeh takper. Kalau ada credit card/debit card...jangan lupa activatekan sebelum korang fly. Cara nak activate, sila masuk korang punya bank online. Kat online bank tu dah bleh activate dah. Kalau lupa activate, mampos korang xleh nak guna debitcard korang kat Japan nanti...heheheh. Budget travel kena ada and plan siap-siap, kecualilah dalam bank korang ada 100juta, then takyah la plan.

4. Immigration Status
Haaa..yang ni ramai yang amik mudah. Wat passport lepas, tapi terkantoi and sangkut kat imegresen kat aiport! Phewwww...naik angin beb kalau jadik camni. So apa-apa hal, sebelum beli tiket..korang check dulu status imegresen korang tu samada clear atau nama dah kena blacklist! Banyak yang kantoi kena blacklist mostly sebab tak bayar PTPTN and tak bayar income-tax! So..please please checkkkk dulu nama korang. Nak check clear or tak nama korang, click kat Imigresen Malaysia ni haaaaaa... Visa? No need.

Nak senang, korang beli jer universal travellers plug tu. Semua negara bleh guna tanpa was-was :)

6. Accomodation
Beb..kalau korang banyak duit, memang seronok kalau dapat stay kat hotel. Bare in mind yang hotel-hotel biasa kat Japan kebanyakkannya bersize kecik.

Yang i gi time kat Tokyo dulu, i amik yang 5 bilik beb! So korang bleh stay and stick together, bleh lepak tengok tv sama-sama, bleh masak and makan sama-sama. But jangan lupa, kalau nak carik tempat stay tu...carik yang dekat or berhampiran dengan stesen keretapi...senang nak kemana-mana nanti!

7. Transporation
Jangan memandai-mandai nak sewa kereta pandu sendiri kat sana. So takyahlah ngengada nak sewa kereta. Guna train lagi efisen! Lau dah sampai sana, jangan lupa try naik Shinkansen (bullet train) ! Cost agak mahal sket la tapi phewww osemmm!

8. Makanan Halal
Haaaa..yang ni jangan risau sebab most of lokasi yang rakyat Malaysia suka travel kat Japan, mostly ada restaurant yang sediakan makanan halal. Kebab halal bersepah kat Osaka or Tokyo. Kena rajin google. So in case, bawaklah makanan asasi sket macam maggi ke hapa ke untuk alas perut masa kat homestay nanti...kan kannn...sedappp ooo makan megi kat oversea!

9. Communication
Since Japan ni negara yang hebat dalam communication, so korang pakai je poket wifi. So aku strongly suggest korang book siap-siap Pocket Wifi ni dari Malaysia, amik kat Malaysia. Sampai je kat Japan, terus ON dan bleh guna on the spot!

Selalu aku amik/sewa Pocket Wifi ni kat sini. Bleh share-share line wifi ngan sdara and kengkawan, Xder deposit yang korang kena letak. Bayaran dia pun murah giler dan fix! So NO HIDDEN charge. Baca pasal Pocket Wifi tu kat sini! Dah penah post dah pasal Poket Wifi tu kat blog ni dulu.

Ok..jangan lupa TRAVEL SAFE!

QATAR - 6 NEGARA PUTUSKAN HUBUNGAN DIPLOMATIK

For info, krisis mengenai Qatar ni telah bermula sejak 2012 lagik.

iii. Gulf kejiranan menutup ruang angkasa kepada Qatar Airlines

Bakal terjejas:
i. Jangan lupa Qatar akan menjadi host World Cup 2022 - sure akan effected!
ii.
iii. As per info, Doha - Qatar termasuk dalam 10 bandaraya tercantik di Asia.
iv. Sektor pelancongan Malaysia - Qatar

Malaysia setakat ni masih lagi mengambil tindakan berkecuali.

I think laman web whatson.ae ni banyak membantu mengenai perkembangan terkini issu Qatar - especially berkenaan dengan travel dan penerbangan.

Latest info taken from whatson.ae :

The only major player yet to make an official announcement about how flights to and from the UAE will be affected is Qatar Airways…

– UAE national carrier Etihad Airways has cancelled all flights to and from Qatar effective tomorrow (there is no indication of how permanent a change this is). The last flight from Abu Dhabi to Qatar will be at 2.45am on Tuesday June 6.
– Flydubai has released a statement saying it will stop all flights to and from Doha as of Tuesday June 6.
AirArabia has followed suit and has cancelled all flights from Sharjah to Doha, effective Tuesday June 6.
– Emirates is also suspending all flights to Qatar. Here’s what they had to say: “As instructed by the UAE government, Emirates will suspend its flights to and from Doha, starting from the morning of 6 June 2017, until further notice. The last flight from Dubai to Doha will depart as EK847 at 02:30am on 6 June. The last flight from Doha to Dubai will depart as EK848 at 03:50am on 6 June. Emirates’ flights to and from Doha today (5 June), will operate as normal. Travellers bound for Doha, who are boarding their flight from airports around the Emirates network today (5 June), will be advised to make alternative arrangements. All customers booked on Emirates’ flights to and from Doha will be provided with alternative options, including full refunds on unused tickets and free rebooking to the nearest alternate Emirates destinations. Call 600 555555 for more information.”
Qatar Airways has announced it will cease all flights to and from Saudi Arabia (no word on the UAE on their travel alerts page yet). The UAE’s official news agency has said that there will be a “closure of UAE airspace and seaports for all Qataris in 24 hours [from Monday morning] and a banning of all Qatari means of transportation, coming to or leaving the UAE, from crossing, entering or leaving the UAE territories.” This suggests Qatar Airways will be banned from flying in and out of the UAE. When trying to book flights to and from Dubai and Qatar on the Qatar Airways website today, it said no flights were available, howeverQatar Airways call centres are telling customers there is no confirmed change to UAE flights yet and if there is they will aim to offer partner airline transfers. We have contacted Qatar Airways for comment and will update you when we receive a response. Partner airlines include airberlin, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Royal Jordanian, S7 Airlines, SriLankan Airlines, TAM Airlines and around 30 affiliates..

– The flight cancellations will impact those who fly to and from the UAE and Qatar regularly for work – remember, however, that Kuwait and Oman are not closing their airspace and so are likely to continue flights to Doha (for now at least).
– The link between Doha and Dubai affects many flights, with many in the UAE flying with Qatar Airways to destinations as far afield as London, Auckland and Kuala Lumpur. The closure of UAE and Saudi airspace would mean all Qatar Airways flights will have to take a north route via Iran, no matter their final destination. The Eid holidays are coming up, and that’s a particularly busy travel period in the region.
– The UAE is giving Qatari diplomats 48 hours as of Monday morning to leave the UAE – and they’re breaking off all diplomatic relations with the country – which is particularly notable considering it’s part of the GCC.
– The UAE’s official news agency also says it’s “preventing Qatari nationals from entering the UAE or crossing its points of entry” and is “giving Qatari residents and visitors in the UAE 14 days to leave the country for precautionary security reasons. The UAE nationals are likewise banned from traveling to or staying in Qatar or transiting through its territories.” Note: This doesn’t currently affect UAE residents, just Emirati citizens. Also, if all flights to and from the UAE and Qatar are suspended as is looking likely, Qataris who leave within the 14 days will likely have to fly to a different location and then home to Qatar.
– Remember, Qatar is the world’s largest exporter of Liquified Natural Gas, and the Dolphin pipeline that runs from Qatar to the UAE accounts for around a quarter of the UAE’s daily LNG consumption.
– Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the Maldives and Bahrain have also cut diplomatic relations with Qatar, as have the Yemeni and temporary Libyan government, and Saudi has announced it will close its land border with Qatar (there’s still no clarity on how quickly that closure will happen). According to the BBC about 40% of Qatar’s food comes in via this land border. The border with Saudi is Qatar’s only land border – and so the nation will become an island in trade terms. This will likely cause inflation in the country.
– Saudi Arabia has directed all Qatari nationals to leave KSA within 14 days, however according to Saudi’s official news agency, pilgrims with plans to go Mecca or Madinah will be exempt.
– Qatari troops are being removed from Yemen.
– Qatar’s stock market had fallen by 7.6% by lunchtime Monday after the news of severed ties was released, while oil prices rose by 1%.
– Here is more from the UAE news agency on why this is all happening now: “The UAE is taking these decisive measures as a result of the Qatari authorities’ failure to abide by the Riyadh Agreement on returning GCC diplomats to Doha and its Complementary Arrangement in 2014, and Qatar’s continued support, funding and hosting of terror groups, primarily Islamic Brotherhood… While regretting the policies taken by the State of Qatar that sow seeds of sedition and discord among the region’s countries, the UAE affirms its full respect and appreciation for the brotherly Qatari people on account of the profound historical, religious and fraternal ties and kin relations binding UAE and Qatari peoples.” Qatar has said the claims have “reached the level of complete fabrications”.

MISTAKE KETIKA DI AIRPORT!

Salam Ramadhan! Okey...After lama tak update this travel blog, kali ni ingat nak update benda-benda yang kerap terjadik kat sesetengah dari kita sendiri or maybe penah jadik kat sedara-mara or kengkawan korang semasa nak keluar travel menggunakan jalan udara!

Benda ni kerap gak dorang bebel kat Facebook padahal semua tu salah sendiri yang secara langsung bleh nyusahkan diri sendiri, family dan jugak menyusahkan kengkawan yang nak travel satu kapal terbang...hehehe..

MISTAKE #1 - Rushing ke Airport!
Bro..amalkanlah keluar awal kalau nak fly tu. At least keluar dari rumah 2-3 jam awal! Biar sampai kat airport awal takper, jangan sampai lambat. Bila dah keluar lambat, sah-sah la semua benda tak kena, semua benda korang salahkan...kereta depan korang pun korang horn sebab bawak terhegeh-hegeh.

Pastu korang bedal plak airliners sebab tak kasik korang check-in! So, tak kisahlah korang ni awek cute ke...artis ke, abang sado ke...lambat tetap lambat. Boarding gate tu tetap dorang akan kena tutup bila dah sampai masa. So, keluarlah rumah awal kalau dah tahu jarak umah ke airport tu jauhhhhh... Lagik satu, kalau plan nak fly jumaat lewat petang, maka amiklah halfday! Korang pun tau Jumaat petang semua orang bersesak nak balik rumah pas kejer...hadoiiii...

MISTAKE #2 - Document Failed!
Memula sekali sebelum beli tiket tu, check dulu nama korang tu blacklist ke idokkkk.. Sian plak kalau dah beli tiket beratus ringgit then sesampai kat airport, tak lepas imegresen sebab kantoi tak bayar PTPTN or nak larik dari Income-Tax!

Benda ni pun dah kerap berlaku kat kengkawan, kat artis dan jugak pernah berlaku kat selebriti sukan. So guys, please check dulu nama korang sebelum fly sana-sini. Hutang tetap kena bayar beb... Lagik satu, lupa bawak passport..ini lagik la pelik! Heloooo..please buat checklist dulu ok before fly. Kalau setakat tak bawak flight ticket tu kira okey lagik sebab bleh reprint or tunjuk boarding pass kat apps handphone BUT kalau tetinggal passport tu, memang masak laaaaa... Seminggu sebelum tu kemain lagi snap gambar passport taruk kat FB nak bagitau semua orang yang kita ni nak pi oversea...hehehe..hadoiii... Ohhh one more, jangan selfish untuk check dan double check document sendiri jer...rerajinlah cross-check document kengkawan or family members yang join korang travel tu, sorang je sangkut...kompem mood bercuti akan ilang sedikit sebanyak...kannn...kannnnn

MISTAKE #3 - Benda Terlarang!
Kan benda tu dah lama dorang announce xleh bawak. Liquid pun ada hadnya.

Ni bawak satu botol perfume 150ml taruk dalam handbag, pastu kena rampas masa nak check-in, pastu nak ngamuk tak tentu pasal...hadooooiii... tak tahu nak cakap apa dahhh.

So, kalau korang dah kena nasihat jangan buat tu or jangan buat ni...silaaaaa lah dengar.

Takyah nak bertengkar bagai. They have power to stop you in any way kalau dorang rasa ada something yang tak betul.

MISTAKE #5 - Tak Pay Attention!
Dan amik tahu gate tu berada jauh or dekat. Kalau gate tu agak jauh, masuk lah awal sket, so takderlah semput nafas nak kejar berlari ke gate yang jauhhh tuuu...hehehhe kannn kann...

So guys...ni la selalunya benda-benda yang bleh wat korang sendiri naik hangin semasa kat airport. Semua tu bukan pasal silap orang lain pun...semuanya sebab sendiri punya silap dan mistake, kann kannnn... So benda ni kerap terjadik kiranya korang tak plan or buat some simple checklist sebelum korang berangkat ke airport.

Heybattt! Ingat..europe-europe jugak, Malaysia ni pun korang belum habis xplore lagik kan??? Hehhee..

Happy Travel and Travel Safe!

TANDA-TANDA TRAVEL SCAMMER

Lately ni kerap sangat kita terbaca kat media sosial like Facebook pasal ada geng-geng teraniaya kena kencing dengan package percutian yang tak wujud. Tak kira lah samada pakej tu pakej tiket penerbangan murah or pakej penginapan murah or pakej ground service yang murah or gabungan semua benda-benda tu.

10 TIPS FROM TONY FERNANDES

I think this a good tips from him!
Frankly, he's damn good in his planning and ideas!

Tony Fernandes's top 10 Tips for Entrepreneurs

wartabuana.com

1) You don’t need to know everything
I came from the music business. I knew nothing about planes. To all the entrepreneurs out there, you don’t need to know everything about what you want to do. It’s all about the idea, it’s about passion, it’s about implementing it.

2) Just Do It!
Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. You’ve got one life, so you can’t press the rewind button and say ‘I wished I had done that.’ So I recommend to all of you out there, just do it. Live your life to the utmost, be positive.

If you fail, at least you have tried.I have failed miserably at Formula One, but I have no regrets because I got to stand with the greats from Ferrari, McLaren, and others.

3) Passion is a Key Problem-Solver
Dreams do come true. Don’t worry about failure. You have one life, make the most out of it. Nine times out of 10, if you have the passion, you will find a way to work through it.

4) Invest in Marketing
If you have the greatest idea in the world, please, please, please put some money on marketing. This is because if you don’t put money on marketing, nobody is going to hear about your great idea.

There are so many great ideas that never took off because of a lack of marketing. Marketing is not about the dollars, it is also about public relations (PR). In AirAsia, we had no money. So I ran around with a red cap on and said controversial things so that the press would always take a picture of me. That was our marketing in AirAsia’s early days. We have been through so many issues, and marketing played a key role in overcoming them.

Remember SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome)? At that time, nobody wanted to fly; we all thought we are going to die. Everyone cut their advertising, but I told my guys not to cut because this was the best time to build our brand. In fact, we tripled our advertising and everyone looked at me and said, “Are you on drugs?” I said, no, it is the best time because no one else is advertising.

When the first Bali bomb attack happened, everyone cancelled their flights. I said to the guys, we cannot let the Bali route die. We must continue to fly.

So we came up with ‘Love Bali’ campaign, giving away 10,000 free seats, and it worked. All 10,000 seats were snapped up in like under one minute. And all those who got those seats told all their friends about it on social media. Your best advertisement is your customers.

5) Leverage Social Media
When Malaysians get a good deal, they will tell the whole world about it. So the 10,000 people who went and had a good time in Bali, told 10,000 people that they had a good time. That was the early gestation of AirAsia’s social media.

We realised the power of social media very early on, so when Facebook and Twitter came up, we latched onto them. We were early adopters. We now have 32 million people on our various social media platforms, and 7 per cent of our business comes directly from social media.

The Bali campaign taught us that our best advertisements are our customers.

6) Don’t be scared of complaints
Complaints are actually free market research. Someone took the effort to write to you to tell you where things went wrong and how they should be improved. These are things that companies pay a lot of money for consultants to tell them that same thing. So we treat every email preciously.

7) Focus on one image when it comes to branding
During the early days, there was the word ‘AirAsia’ and a logo of a bird in our branding. If you look at the top brands in the world, there’s only one image that comes to your mind. When I say “Shell,” you think of the Shell logo. When I say “Coca-Cola,” you think of the word ‘Coke’ in italics, and when I say “Nike,” you think of the swoosh.

So, back to our earlier AirAsia brand, we said drop the bird – we felt it was facing the wrong way anyway – and we used ‘AirAsia’ as our logo. Just one image. Why spend double the money to promote two images?

We also dropped the blue and the green colours. I tried very hard not to go with red, because everyone thinks that I want to be Richard Branson [the Virgin Group founder and Fernandes’ former boss] ... but it was the best colour, so we picked red.

So yes, the colour does make a big difference!

8) Go on the ground
What I used to do – although I don’t do this anymore – was that once a month, I would carry bags, I would be a cabin crew [member], and also at the check-in counter. I did this for two reasons. The first is that you can’t be an effective CEO (chief executive officer) unless you go on the ground to experience the real situation.

Here’s a true story. The baggage handling team told me that they needed belt loaders. I told them, “No, we can’t buy that as it’s too expensive.”

So one day when I was tasked to carry bags, they put me on one of the Indonesia flights. People who fly with us generally bring their house with them, but people who fly to Indonesia bring their neighbour’s house as well!

So there was a lot of bags. I broke my back in the process, and I told my team that they were right and I was wrong, and let’s buy the belt loaders.

If I didn’t do that [go on the ground] and just sat comfortably in the office, I would have made a wrong decision, damaged a lot of bags, and probably started a union.

The second reason [for going on the ground] is that I wanted to look for talent. I wasn’t looking for the talents from Oxford or Cambridge, I was looking for the Grade 3 SPM [O Levels equivalent] kind of guys who needed a second chance.

9) Never underestimate the potential of your staff
I broke all the rules in terms of hiring people. To me, as long as you have a dream, you can do anything. There was an ex-cabin crew member – she came up to me one day and told me that her dream was to become a pilot. I told her to go for it.

Then she called me up one day and asked if she could take part in the Miss Thailand [beauty pageant], and I told her okay, as long as I get to use her photographs in our marketing materials.

She won the [Miss Universe Thailand] pageant and recently became a captain – so we are the only airline in the world with a Miss Thailand flying with us.

The moral of the story is that we have such a flat structure that she was able to tell me what her dreams were, and we were able to make a raw diamond into a diamond.

Another one of my boys, a baggage handler in Kuching, told me he wanted to become a pilot. I told him to go for it. He passed all the exams ... he had the top marks in the flying academy. Today, he is a captain.

We have many of such stories at AirAsia. Your biggest assets, besides your ideas, are your people – because at the end of the day, it is the people who will deliver your ideas.

10) Data is king
We have a huge amount of data that we don’t know what to do with it, but everyone else wants our data ... so we figured it must be something very valuable and there must be an opportunity there.

We are investing in a few ventures. We plan to launch our own version of TripAdvisor, a travel dongle, a new YouTube-type of channel and more – data will be playing an essential role in these ventures. Data will be king!

ANGKOR WAT - HARGA TICKET MELAMBUNG!

Fuhhh...Angkor Wat ni kalau korang tak gi tengok or lawat..rasanya tak sah!

Phewww banyakkk tuu...

Kalau sebelum ni, harga Entry Pass adalah:

1. 1 Day Pass - USD20 increase to USD37 (RM163+)

#matilanakkkk

Travel Tips:
If travel alone, bleh beli local sim card kat airport or kat city. But if travel ngan kengkawan, better sewa Pocket Wifi siap-siap dari Malaysia sebab lagi jimat dan bleh share-share bayar sewa. Sewa pocket wifi lagi murah dan jimat if travel secara berjemaah.
